Chandra
(The Moon):
I salute Soma (Lord Moon) with great devotion. He
looks all white like the fresh curd, the conch and
the fine spray of water.
He rose from the great ocean. He enriches the brilliance
of Lord Shiva's crown and He carries the emblem
of a hare. (Note: Many times we chance to see the
outline of a hare on the full white disc of the
moon.)
